gotta agree with the guy below.

this track has tons of potential, but lacks in the basics. I love the melody, and your knowledge of music production seems high enough that you could make this into something truly amazing. However, there are a few things that need improvement.

(A.) clipping. one of the many woes of music production and one of the hardest things to gain skill over, in my book. try adding a limiter on the master channel, but lower the attack and decay settings. then lower the volume of the all the instruments. This is assuming that you are using FL Studio.

(B.) repetitiveness. This song has an excellent melody, and you really manage to pull it off in the beginning, but then it gets old very fast and loses interest. try working with the melody so that it repeats one way, then the next time, it plays another way. I know I'm not giving too much help here, but it's really more of a skill learned through experience rather than taught.

(C.) choose different synths. I get the distinct inpression that you used the fl keys plugin for the piano, and a lot of the other synths sound a LOT like sytrus. These plugins are great, but they are extensively overused. Try to be more original by using an external vst for your work.

that's all I can think of. Nice work on this! contact me when it is finished. however, I am no longer using this account. contact this account instead:

I agree with you 2 too :p you both ARE right :D
yes i know, clipping i worked so fucking long on , but i don't get it :/ i got limiters on it, volumes has been put down to 80 % i did long on EQ'ing , ..
i know about the rep. melody at end part, i didn't know if i should have done variation there again :p but ok i try :p
i didn't use sytrus, i used something like simsynth, but i made my own things , i thought they sounded cool :p but i'll see for other vst's too
thank you for your review and i will contact you later again! ;-D

Not too shabby. Needs more variation.

I like what you've got here. Not too bad. You've got some nice ideas running throughout this track that could use some expansion.

The synthwork in this is very well implemented. And the bass really adds to it. However, I feel it could be a little less repetitive. Your drums could use more work, but it's got lots of potential.

keep trying! What program are you using to make this? I know firsthand how steep the learning curve is with FL Studio, and I'm sure it's the same with other programs too.

Overall, I say nice work, but try to work out some of those issues with the repetitiveness.

PS. can you check out my latest track?

FuNDaMeLoN responds:

Thanks for reviewing - i really appreciate it.
I've been having problems with the repetition lately - it's like i gather all the tracks and arrange the song but it's always missing something, and if i shorten it i always feel like i've left something out.
FL Studio is fun because it has soooo many features (namely, buttons and knobs) but as you said the learning curve is "steap." Most other programs aren't nearly as complicated, and nearly as capable.
Thanks for your time - going on to your songs now!

Nice

This isn't really my genre, but from what I can hear this sounds very good! Nice use of of sound effects!

And a good title too! Very suspenseful. I could easily imagine this being used as the score in an action movie.

Great work, and thanks for reviewing my song!

thank you for leaving your review! And, my pleasure!

Interesting, good piece of work!

There's some slight clipping on this track, try turning the master down and playing with the overall volume of your channels.

Keep using those effects! It only get's better once you begin to explore some options.

The song does get quite repetitive after a bit, so I suggest working on adding variation, and maybe even another melody to go along with the first.

Also, try to go with some more original sounding synths. It sounds like you used a lot of presets.

Overall, not bad (I've made worse, lol).

Can you check out my latest song, too?

DJStash responds:

I felt that it was still an awesome track, but somewhere in there it lost the touch that that the original had.

thx for the comment :)

Not bad.

needs more bass. sounds very much like a video game track. Overall though, it's well thought out, and well put together. I really like the percussion.

CyberPot responds:

Hi DJ-Tonic.

Thanks for your review. I agree that it needs more bass, but i did´nt thought that this was come out so sounds like a video game song.

explosive!

I like the melody, and the lead used. very powerful sounds. only thing I didn't like was the beggining, where it sounded very much like a preset.

5/5 9/10 hit me back!

Maxim456 responds:

Hopefully ill get better at this

Dj Nox :D

I would have given this one a 4, but I saw your low rating and gave it a 5. It's pretty nice, but it needs something. not sure what.

sbooy responds:

Thanks, I'll try and improve it:)
